Let It Snow & More...

 We have had some wonderful winter walks this season.  This phone photo doesn't do justice to the true beauty.  The sunset was reflected in the water of the river.  Wish you could have seen it.

 At our ward Christmas party, the youth acted out the nativity and Jenna was the beautiful stand-in for Mary.  Hilary led the Primary singing and  I read a Christmas poem as a representative of the Relief Society.  The hardest part of that was finding an appropriate poem that wasn't too long.

 Sunday evening one of the neighbors hosted a gathering to celebrate the season and collect donation for a friend with severe medical issues.  We were able to stay in town for the evening so we joined the group.  They had a lot of yummy sweets and played quite a few games.  Here Hilary and Jenna compete in the donut challenge to see how many donuts they could stack on the forehead.  They did well but didn't win.  No one wanted to eat these donuts.

 We have had quite a bit of snow so far this season.  Steve has used the snow blower numerous times and we have shoveled a lot too.

 Hilary's kids have performed in lots of recitals and concerts.  We usually get to hear the songs on Sunday.  However, on Dec. 9th we were able to take Britton to his orchestra concert while Adam and Hilary attended a work related Christmas event.  For a middle school group, they did an amazing job and it was a very enjoyable evening.

 One Saturday, Jenna spent about 4 hours diligently make a special Christmas gift.  This is truly a gift from the heart so hopefully it will be appreciated.

 In between making and delivering goodies, sub for Santa shopping, home teaching and shoveling snow, we have attended a Broker Network party with my business associates and a Century Christmas party with Steve's.  We had just right right amount of events so that we weren't overburdened with social obligations.
Last Friday night, we picked up Jen, Will and June at the airport.  We are always so happy when they arrive safely.

 The kids were so excited that we had snow.  They have played in it and shoveled it.  They are still hoping to build a snowman and go sledding.  We have at least a foot and a half in CV so it shouldn't be a problem.

 I love to see a primrose boldly blooming in the snow.

 On the morning of the 23rd, we woke up to 6 more inches of snow.  Before we could get dressed and get out our equipment, we heard a snowblower on our driveway.  Adam was blowing off the snow in his basketball shorts and light windbreaker.  He was covered in snow and had no hat or gloves.  He had just returned from his early morning basketball practice.  What a guy!

We are looking forward to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Hilary's family.  Taylor will join us for Christmas Day.
We were really disappointed when Libbie and Jeff's flights were delayed and then cancelled for their trip to spend Christmas in Las Vegas with Jeff's family.  We were all lined up to meet them in St. George for lunch on the 23rd.  Now they will be flying on Christmas Day and with their visit substantially shortened, there is no opportunity for us to meet up.  Hope they have a safe trip.  They are making the best of the situation.
