A Few More Days...

We loved having McKay's family with us a few more days into the new year of 2017.  It gave us an opportunity to listen to Jessica play the piano some more.
And it gave the cousins from Hilary's family and McKay's to spend more time producing plays and entertainment for us.

McKay assisted Steve in changing out our kitchen faucet.  It ended up taking almost the entire day to get the correct faucet, parts and tools and get it installed.  It was very helpful for Steve to have McKay down under the sink assisting.  He had recently installed the same faucet in his own home.  Experience is very helpful.

The faucet is wonderful.  We really like it.  Thanks, McKay for helping with this important home repair item.

The costumes facilitate hours of creative play.  I love seeing how imaginative our grandchildren are.  It is fun to watch their performances.
One evening McKay and Tricia were able to get together with their friends from graduate school.  We had fun with the kids.  Another day, Tricia and McKay were able to take Cameron to the Logan temple to do baptisms.

On Monday afternoon, Jan. 2nd, Cameron opted to travel with Steve and I to the Hardware Ranch to see the elk herd and watch them feed.  It was a beautiful day and we loved being out in nature since we were dressed warmly enough for the occasion.  After our excursion, we stopped by Jonny O's for a donut.  Fun and yummy!

Meanwhile the kids back at the house were busy preparing several versions of the Wizard of Oz for our entertainment.  It was very clever and quite entertaining!

The last evening together, we all watched the movie, Pollyanna.  The original is one of my favorites to share with the grandkids.  I love the message of looking for something to be "glad" about or the glad game.  It teaches gratitude.  We all need to remember to be grateful.
