Temple Open House & Quinn's Baptism...

 Tiffany and Abigail flew into SL on May 11th.  Steve picked up Abigail at the airport and they drove straight to CV for a cousins reunion.  I picked up Tiffany immediately afterward and we dropped her stuff off at the Murray house and headed straight to an appointment with Jana, the hairdresser.  Tiffany is an extremely loyal person and she loves her UT hairdresser.  Luckily, after I dropped Tiffany off and ran to show a property to a client, Jana was able to fit me in also which opened up our morning on Friday.  Originally Jana was scheduled to do my hair at 9:30.  All the switcheroo stuff enabled Tiffany and I to drive up to CV earlier the next morning to pick up Steve, Abigail and Korinne and begin our drive to IF for the temple open house that afternoon.

 The temple renovation was beautifully done.  They were able to restore the original paintings in the ordinance rooms while updating the interior and making the space more functional and very beautiful.  This temple will always have a special place in my heart since Steve and I were married there 47 years ago on July 30, 1970.  Many years later, my father served in two temple presidencies there so Steve K. drove Ann, my step mom up to tour the temple that very morning as well.  She served with my dad.

After the temple open house, we drove directly to Heather's home to prepare for Quinn's baptism the next day.  Tiffany is an amazing aunt to all her nieces and nephews.  So far she has attended every single baptism of those luck nieces and nephews. 

 Hilary's family drove up on Friday night also so we had the three sisters' families together for about 18 hours.  With various open house schedules, we didn't quite make 24 hours.  Heather had lots of company besides us since as several members of Aaron's family were able to attend the baptism and the brunch afterward also.  After we all left, the M family celebrated a cousin's birthday and had a fashion photo shoot for another cousin's clothing website.  It was truly a busy weekend.

 It was so nice that Steve and Jackie were able to bring Great Grandma Ann to the service.  She had been quite under the weather for several weeks so we were very happy that she was feeling up to the Idaho trip.

By Saturday afternoon, we were driving back to CV.  I had a primary lesson to finish preparing and of course, we had a quick Mother's Day celebration on Sunday.  I was able to send or deliver all of my mother's day gratitude letters and a $1 for a treat.  Thanks to my kids of calling, Facetiming and the cards and letters.  I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH AND FEEL SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU AS PART OF OUR FAMILY.

We also managed a bit of a early birthday celebration for Tiffany and Adam since their birthdays will take place while we are gone to China.  Happy Birthday to Adam and Tif.  Our family just wouldn't be nearly as amazing without you two.  Love you both!

Sunday evening when we arrived back in SL, we had a wonderful visit from Tricia.  I found out she was in UT to attend a friend's funeral when McKay called earlier that afternoon.  Of course, we were surprised but hoped we would get a chance to see her.  She came over shortly after we arrived and we were able to have a nice visit while we walked on the nearby Parkway.  It was an extra special mother's day treat for me.  She had spent the day with her sister, Julie as her own mother was in St. George.  I guess both of us forgot to get photos.

Steve and I drove to SL on Sunday evening and began our trip to China early on Monday morning.  Tiffany drove herself and Abigail to SL the next afternoon and flew back to Texas that evening.  It was a quick trip for her, but we loved having her there for this very important event.  Thanks, Tif!
