Home Sweet Home!

On Friday, November 16, as we drove across Wyoming, I received messages from my cousin, Brett, that he was hosting a 100th birthday party for my Aunt Coral at her care center in SL that evening.
That was incentive enough for us to limit our stops so that we could arrive on time to stop by the party.
We were also invited by my brother, Steve, to stop by when we arrived for some supper.  Grandma Ann would be there also as she was taking the train from Utah County to attend the birthday party.

It worked out perfectly for us to stop by Steve and Greg's place for a bowl of soup and some tasty bread.  It was nice to reconnect with Ann and Steve again and to see Steve's quilt on the top of his bed.  Greg wasn't able to be there so we missed seeing him.

Directly after enjoying the soup, we drove into SL for the party.  It was wonderful to see Aunt Coral at 100 years old and visit with many cousins and second cousins.  Coral seems to be in amazingly good health except for her memory.  She has lived a remarkable life, and Brett does a wonderful job of supervising her care.

Steve, Anitra, Ann, Erik, Steve K., Deanne, Kristen and Michelle were some of the birthday guests.
We visited with everyone at the party and then left to drive to Providence.  When we arrived there about 8:30, we had a welcoming group standing outside on our driveway.  Hilary, Adam, Korinne, Jameson and AJ were joined by several of our kind neighbors to welcome us home.  Fortunately, I had been in regular text contact with Adam, so the group really hadn't been outside waiting too long.

It was a fun Welcome Home greeting with signs, balloons, etc.  Thanks Campbells, Knights, Huntsmans and Kirks.
