It was fun to gather around the table and listen to the three siblings talk about their experiences while growing up in rural Idaho. Coral is still amazed as a younger sister watching Bob and Jay, his brother who was 2 years younger, walk along the banks of the Snake River, fishing for hours. She said that she and her mother, my Grandmother Annie, would park down stream and wait in the car for them to come along. The most amazing part was that my dad couldn't have been more than 8 or 9 years old at the time. Knowing him, I am sure that he was a very responsible kid for his age. He actually went away to school and lived with Aunt Libbie when he was 7 years old because he was living with them when he was baptized that next spring.
Steve K and Ann cooked a wonderful lunch for the group of us. It was such a pleasant day for reminiscing. Thanks for sharing your memories.
