A Day in the City...

Friday morning, Tiffany, Shawn, Abigail, Steve and I took the train into the city.  One of my buying families was turned down for their loan on Thursday afternoon and they lost their earnest money.  This was devastating for me as it has never happened so late in the transaction that my clients lost their earnest money in the 20+ years I've been a realtor.  I was happy for the distraction.  It was pretty close to a vacation day for me.  The order of the photos is all mixed up but I'm too tired to redo them.
Here's Abigail enjoying the gorgeous flowers on the plaza next to Temple Square.
Here Shawn, Abigail and Tiffany pose in front of a waterfall at the amazing new City Creek Center.  It is an impressive combination of natural beauty, water features, beautiful landscaping, sculptures, etc. all mixed in with glass walkways, inviting stores, restaurants, a food court and a children's play area.  It's quite the attraction.
Here we pose in front of one of the first log cabins built in the valley.  It is surrounded by a vegetable garden and located right next to the Church Art & History Museum.  The exhibits in the museum captured the true historical spirit and the artwork was beyond my ability to describe. It was very inspiring and humbling to me.
There was an interactive area for children and Abigail was very absorbed by several of the activities.  I think her favorite was fishing from the boat.

Shawn treated us to a delicious lunch in the Garden Room overlooking the temple.

Abigail loved playing tag and climbing all over the creatures in the play area at the City Creek center.
