Winter Weekend!

 We arrived back from Texas on Saturday morning, the 21st, hurried to deposit some earnest money checks and left in the rain for CV.  We were eager to get there as Jen, Taylor, Will and June were there.  Our only delay as we traveled through rain, sleet and snow, was to stop by Maddox for some chicken and surprise, a coconut cream pie. (Dad picked up the order and couldn't resist.)  We arrived just in time to help Will, June and Sage to bundle up for a slight snow excursion outside.  Myler had to have gloves and goggles too but then was content to stay inside with his dad.  Seth was visiting Taylor with his kids, Sage and Myler.  Meagan and Hilary were still away on the overnight R.S. retreat.

 When the kids were too cold to play outside anymore, we took them to a jump place which had lots of inflated contraptions.  Will and Page immediately ran around and experienced every option in the place.

 June and Myler were having a lot of fun too.

 When Adam arrived with his kids, that added more playmates.  Korinne immediately took Sage and June under her wing.  Jameson was a little slow to get started as he wanted to mostly stick with his dad.  However, eventually, he got into the jumping fun.

 It's hard to pick out the kids from the stuffed animals, but June and Jameson are in there somewhere.

 After all the jumping fun, we stopped by to check out Seth and Meagan's new home.  They closed on Monday and moved in this past week.

 Sunday morning produced even more snow.  Will was eager for another "snow" experience.

 After playing outside, the kids snuggled up with Jen to read books.  Jen reads a lot to the kids and they love it.

 We had a nice dinner on Sunday with Jen and Taylor's family and Hilary and Adam's family.  Jen made this scrumptious and beautiful salad. Boy she can make a fabulous salad.

 Since Jenna didn't request a cake to celebrate her upcoming 12th birthday, we just served the coconut pie and ice cream.  We put 1/3 as many candles as Jenna deserved in the pie and everyone sang Happy Birthday.  A few kids tried the pie but mostly they ate ice cream while the adults sampled the pie.  Of course, some had both.

 Here's the smiling birthday girl.  She loves ice cream so she was happy with that.

 When Steve retired, CNH gave him a gift catalog to choose a retirement gift.  We really didn't need a sports watch, a tent,  or another suitcase so we opted to choose this nice juicer.  We haven't read the instruction manual yet.  Hopefully some of the juicing family members will give us some assistance in figuring it out.

 Jen and Taylor left on Sunday night to return to SL and stayed overnight at our place.  Taylor had an early morning flight back to China the next morning.  We kept the kids so they didn't have to get up early.  We were happy to have a little time with the kids.  With our Texas trip in the middle of our visit, we really haven't spent much time together.
Both June and Will tried on my cowboy boots.  I think they really liked them.

 Will and June helped grandpa vacuum while I went to a closing for Seth and Meagan on their new home.

 Before we left town, we had to stop by the bank for some business.  They ladies there were really nice to the kids and gave them a cookie and some bottled water.  Will and June were so polite and grateful for the treats and the attention.  The bank employees were impressed with their manners.

Here they are at our SL place snuggled on the bed reading more books with their Mom.  Jen had a few hours to do some errands, etc. after she dropped Taylor off at the airport.  Thanks, Jen, for letting us spend that time with the kids.
