November Arrives...

 We had some cold and rainy weather this week.  However, Saturday was clear and bright but nevertheless chilly.  Steve was diligent in mowing the grass one last time and in pulling out all of the summer flowers.  It was sad for me to see the flowers go but we are more prepared for the winter weather now.  Last week we picked all of the tomatoes and pulled out those plants.  We now have two boxes of tomatoes in the garage that will continue to ripen.  I have loved making fresh salsa, spaghetti sauce and sharing the yummy tomatoes with others.

 Today Korinne and Jameson wanted to help Steve with the topping for the apple crisp.  'Tis the season for apple crisp so we have been making a few batches.
Here are a couple of my favorite clients, Paul and Jamelle, signing on the sale of their home and the purchase of their new condo.  This was a happy moment on Friday since we have all had rough month together.  In my nearly 25 years of selling real estate, I can't remember another time when the sellers were all packed and the movers coming in the morning and I had to call them and tell them their buyers weren't going to close as scheduled.  It was a challenging time for all.  Heavenly Father truly blessed them with another cash buyer within about 10 days so they were still able to purchase the home they wanted.  We are all so grateful!

 This past ten days have been truly difficult for my friend, Jana and her family, as her devoted husband Rusty was killed protecting his family and neighborhood from a drug-crazed burglar.
The funeral was a gospel centered tribute to this fine man, a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, who gave his life for his friends. The Holy Spirit of peace and comfort was present and will continue to strengthen Jana and her family.  Rusty lived and died as a humble servant of the Lord and I am sure he continues to serve on the other side of the veil.  Being close to someone experiencing such a tragic event really makes me thankful for Christ's atonement and for the sacred ordinances that seal families together for eternity.  The comfort of the gospel is indeed GOOD NEWS!
