On December 16, 2012, Tanner was awarded his Eagle Scout Award at his Eagle Court of Honor. His grandpa P, an Eagle recipient himself, was very proud to share this event with Tanner. We joyously made the drive up to be with Tanner as his excellent accomplishment was honored. What a fine example Tanner has set for his brothers and cousins. CONGRATULATIONS, TANNER!!!
Tanner actually completed his requirements last summer and was ready for his Court of Honor but he waited the extra few months for his buddies, Jacob and Tim to finish theirs. It was really nice to honor these fine young men together.
The kids loved the cake that was served as refreshments. Additionally it was also Tanner's 15th birthday, sSo we all sang Happy Birthday to him after the Court of Honor.
Before we went over for the Eagle Court of Honor, we celebrated Tanner's birthday and he opened his presents. Anna's birthday was the next day and we couldn't stay over night, so she got to open her present from us too. Happy birthday to both of you!!! We love you!
Who knew one could become accomplished playing the recorder? Jantzen knows a lot of cool songs. He made it look so fun, I wanted to try learning something beyond the first little song I learned years ago.
We also love it when the kids take time to share their talents and musical accomplishments with us. We are always impressed with how well each child is progressing with their music. Congratulations to all of the grandchildren who continue to practice and work hard.
