Pancakes, Then Parting

On our final morning, Steve cooked yummy homemade pancakes and bacon on the griddle.  Along with fabulous buttermilk syrup, we at least had a sweet breakfast even as we began our sad goodbyes.  The kids were singing and dancing together and enjoy a few final sword fights, etc.

Anna and Brinley pose in their new clothes which represent hours of hard work as 4-H projects.  The girls submitted sewing and cooking items for judging in the county fair and came away with prizes and ribbons.  Even Elsie was a winner in cooking.

This is is one example of the piles of shoes surrounding all of Heather's doorways throughout the reunion.

I took a photo of this pledge to get together in another two years.  Hooray for another reunion in 2015!  We won't turn down any opportunities for something sooner but we will work on another plan for 2015.

We also took a picture of our home in the northland since we recently had some exterior painting done.  We hope and pray that this wonderful home will soon belong to a deserving family.

Early on Tuesday we made our first trip back to the airport to send Libbie, Jeff, Benson, Sadie and Xander back to S. Carolina.  I was already feeling sad but they need to get back to their "real" life.  The vacation is winding down.
