And the month goes on...All the way to the Temple!

We returned from the class reunion late on Saturday night so I could teach my primary lesson and also because Heather's family was at our house.  Aaron had ridden his bike in the Cache Valley Grand Fondo earlier that day and Heather and the younger kids drove down that afternoon.  We were honored to host them as they wanted to hear the mission report in sacrament meeting on Sunday from Tanner's recently released mission president and his wife, the Johnsons who live in our stake and were reporting in the building about half a block away from ours at 1 p.m.  I was fortunate enough to attend both meetings.  The crowd was huge to hear the Johnsons speak--many former missionaries and parents.  Heather and Aaron were able to talk with Pres. Johnson and get a photo for Tanner.  I don't have a copy, however.

 After a nice dinner together with the Campbells and a little visiting time, they were on their way back to Idaho.

 The kids enjoyed playing together and we all enjoyed watching AJ's cute little antics.

 It was back to SL for work on Monday morning.  I had a dental appointment, a CE class and an open house to do.  Wednesday night we were lucky to get tickets to the Donny & Marie Show at the Sandy Amphitheater.  We had never been there before, but it is a very nice venue.  Thanks to some guidance from Byron T, who volunteers as an usher, we were able to find a very good parking spot.

We arrived in plenty of time and our seats were excellent.  The show was FANTASTIC!  We loved it!

Brinley arrived in SL on the shuttle while we were at the concert so her Aunt Erica picked her up at the airport and dropped her off at our house.  We arrived home shortly thereafter.  

The next morning we took Brinley to the airport to fly to Mexico with HFY, humanitarian youth group to do service for several weeks.  She bravely went without knowing anyone else in the group.  

 She quickly made friends with other members of the group and left confidently as she passed through security and on her way.

 We promptly walked to the next terminal, where the monitor told us that Tiffany and Abigail had already landed.  It was so convenient for us.  It took them a little time to get a gate and deplane but we were able to accomplish everything in one trip.
I had signed up for a special realtor open house for a new builder in the valley.  They furnished gourmet pizza and we walked through their expensive model homes.  It was a fun way to start the visit.

The next morning we took a walk on the parkway and then Tif, Abigail and I went to the zoo.  Steve doesn't like missing the zoo but he had work appointments at the last minute.  Abigail was able to feed the giraffe and that was fun to watch.  This is the first time I've seen this offered at our zoo.

Abigail was very happy to have that opportunity.

                 She also loved the splash pad so we allowed some time for her to play in the water.

                                      Of course she quickly made friends with another girl there.

                                        She chose the train over the carousel and it was working this time.

We made a Costco run in between the zoo and the evening entertainment so we would have food for the crowd the next day.

 Friday night we had another concert to attend, the Pioneer Concert by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with guest artist, Alex Boye.  Hilary had tickets too so we planned to meet early and grab a bite to eat.  Our timing was amazing and we parked right next to each other and walked around City Creek Center until we finally ended up in the Food Court so everyone could chose their own dinner.  It worked out well.  Our seats weren't together, but once again, we walked out at the exact same time so we were able to switch back kids.  They drove back to CV that night as they had company staying at their house.  We drove back early the next morning.

 Saturday afternoon at about 2:30, members of our family joined with members of the Campbell family and a few of Hilary and Adam's close friends in the celestial room of the Logan Temple to witness the sealing of Adam Jacob Campbell to his parents, Hilary and Adam Campbell.  Dave Campbell, Adam's father, did a wonderful job as the officiator and sealer.  It was a very touching ceremony and all of the other children were able to watch this special event too.  Once again, the Holy Spirit confirmed to us that AJ had chosen to be a member of this eternal family unit.

 This was one of those times when one takes time to reflect and show gratitude for God's plan of happiness and the opportunity He gives us to make eternal covenants with Him and with our family members.  Our hearts were full and we rejoiced.

After the temple sealing and photos, we all returned to Hilary's house where we had prepared lunch for everyone.  Bishop Adam and the other priesthood holders there, gave AJ, Adam Jacob a name and a blessing.  It was a very special occasion.  We were so happy to have Heather, Aaron, Anna, Elsie,  Quinn,  Tiffany and Abigail there to support Hilary and Adam's family.  Adam had a big group from his family also.  Thanks to everyone.  

AJ loved this little dog that one of Adam's siblings brought with them.  He was fascinated.
