Early Wed. morning Steve flew back to Phoenix for the rest of the national training. Later that day, Taylor notified me that he was putting Jen and the kids on a plane for the US so Jen could get treatment for her kidney stones. 24 hours later they arrived just after midnight. What an amazing gal Jen is to make that long trip with two active children! She is something else.
Friday afternoon, she spent a lot of time on the phone trying to set up appointments. This next wk she will see the urologist, orthopedic specialist for her hip, OB-GYN dr., dentist for Will, and scheduled immunizations for the kids. It will be a very busy week. I hope that they will be able to take care of the things that are difficult to do in China. We love having her and I'm glad she isn't currently in pain with those kidney stones.
Saturday night, Grandma Ann, hosted the siblings for dinner at a Chinese restaurant and a play at the local theatre-in-the-round. It was originally scheduled instead of a Christmas party in January but the weather prevented Jackie and Val from coming down. We had a delightful time even though my Steve and Kelly and Karen were unable to attend. It was very enjoyable so I believe we will do it again instead of giving presents. Thanks Mom!
