Baby June is Cooperative!

June Elizabeth was born to Jennifer and Taylor on June 20, 2011 at 9:53 a.m.. She weighed 7 lb. 5 oz. and is 20 inches long with quite a bit of dark hair, dark eyes and long skinny feet and long fingers. Here is what she looked like 4-5 hours after her arrival.
Her parents wanted her to wait until after the 18th to be born, so she did. Jen wanted a short, not too painful delivery, so June accommodated. They wanted her to be smaller than Will, so she is. They wanted her to prefer sucking a pacifier to crying, so she does. They wanted her to nurse well, so she does. They wanted her to "poop" quickly, so she did. They want her to sleep well at night--here's hoping that she gets that message too. So far, Baby June is very obedient. Are you paying attention, Will?
Here is what she looked like 30 hours after she was born.

The family poses for their first portrait about 6 hrs. after June's arrival.
I'm so glad that they decided to have June born in the USA only 1 1/2 hours away from me. This was a beautiful day in every way.
We took Will home with us overnight. He told Grandpa he made a mess by spilling the oatmeal. He loves vacuuming up the mess.Jen went home from the hospital about 27 hours after June was born. We arrived with Tif and Abigail a short time later. We loved being the welcoming committee.

After a sweet visit, we left the little family to have some time of their own. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to dine at one of our favorite eating establishments on our way home. The raspberry cream pie was heavenly!

Will's hat was mistakenly left in the truck. Here's a cute photo of Abigail in it. It was another beautiful day in my world. I just love being surrounded by family members.

Yeah! We were so happy to hear that the delivery went well! How many more grandchildren do you think are left waiting to come? Or do you think June is the last one?

What a cute new addition to your ever growing family. Hope you get to spend a little more time with June and Will before they have to head back to China.
