It's been a month since I've blogged and a memorable one at that. So much has happened that I've been unable to stop and organize my thoughts and photos. So I'll start with June's baby blessing event held on July 3, 2011 at our home. Family and friends gathered to celebrate June's earthly arrival and her father, Taylor, gave her a beautiful blessing along with naming her official name on the records of our church of June Elizabeth. This is a tradition in our religion and special occasion for all. Both of her names are family names so they are extra special. June is Steve's mother's name. Elizabeth is my great aunt's name. She lived to be over 100 years old and her strong faith in Christ's gospel is an example for all of us to follow.

Here are the three June's in our family currently. June Elizabeth is being held by Jessica June and Abigail June.

These booties were made by my grandmother, Annie Spori K. They were made for my children and were probably worn by Taylor--maybe even on his blessing day.

Taylor with his siblings and some of their children which include Britton, Jenna, Thomas, Cameron, Jessica and of course, Will.

Shawn visits with Jen's parents.

My sister, Cathy, and her husband joined us too.

Taylor and Jen's friends Seth and Meghan and Tyler and Sarah and kids are very supportive.

Jen's grandparents enjoy Will.

Hilary, Steve and McKay try dessert first. When they saw the cookies Jen's mother made, they had to taste them immediately. Now you know why.

Roger, Seth and Jen. Taylor baptized Roger in Taiwan. He just returned home from his mission and is attending BYU so he was able to join us. He is a fine young man.

Cousins from both sides of the family join in making a train. They loved dressing up in the costumes as usual.

All of the P cousins except Thomas posed for this picture. Thomas, where are you?

Looks like your family had a wonderful day. Sorry that we were unable to attend. June looked beautiful.
