The university where McKay teaches was founded in 1865 by Asa Packer, a railroad magnet. It is an amazingly beautiful campus and the older buildings are stunning. 
This is a statue of the founder in one of the courtyards.
Tricia enjoys a meditative moment on one of the donors' benches. They have allowed room for many more. The names of the donors are engraved on the seatbacks of the benches.
We loved the size of the building that houses the Department of Philosphy especially when compared with the size of the church next door.
I'm guessing that their priorities were a little different then. I'm pretty sure our current culture has them backwards now.
The engineering building was fabulous. In this steel manufacturing center, engineering was king. The school is still well known for its engineering dept.
Inside of another library. This may well have been the first library. The craftsmanship of this building was exquisite.

The tree covered walkways were serene and inviting during the early evening. 
His office is being given a facelift with new carpet and paint. In the meantime he is inconveniently displaced.
